Lasagne

500g mince
1 onion
2 cloves garlic
100g tomato paste
1 can crushed tomatoes
Salt & pepper
Mixed herbs
Beef stock
Any additional vegies: mushrooms, zucchini, silverbeet, spinach

Bechamel Sauce:
60g butter
1/3 cup plain flour
Salt & pepper
Pinch nutmeg
2 cups milk
125g cheese

Cook ingredients for meat sauce all together.  Add sufficient water to make a runny sauce.

Sauce: melt butter in saucepan, add flour and spices, blend until smooth.  Cook for 1 minute.  Gradually add milk and stir until it boils and thickens (can burn easily!)  Remove from heat and stir in cheese.

Preheat oven to 180 degrees. 

In casserole dish layer: meat, lasagne sheets, meat, sauce, sheets etc.  Finish with a layer of sauce and sprinkle with a layer of grated cheese. 

Bake for 30-40 minutes.
